Pay Range:$21.31 - $26.63

Keeseville Country Gardens with 50units, located in Keeseville, NY, is a senior apartment community proudly managed by National Church Residences—the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of affordable senior housing, serving over 46,000 seniors across 360+ communities nationwide.

Our Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in maintaining high-quality apartment homes. Responsibilities include apartment repairs, inspections, unit turnovers, obtaining repair quotes, and coordinating contracted work. Technicians handle minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repairs, landscaping, and assist with snow removal. We provide an iPad and training for our electronic work order system, along with a minimum 2-hour paid guarantee for emergency calls outside scheduled hours. Our team is committed to delivering excellent homes with compassion and professionalism to the residents of Keeseville Country Gardens.

On-Call Requirement:

This position requires availability for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical system issues

  • Maintain interior and exterior common areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness

  • Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

  • Supervise and train junior maintenance staff, when applicable

  • Manage inventory, equipment, and maintenance supplies

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

  • 2+ years of residential or senior housing maintenance experience preferred

  • Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, OSHA, etc.) a plus

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions

  • Valid driver’s license required
