The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and safety of agency facilities, grounds, and equipment. This position supports the mission of the organization by ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for staff, kids, and visitors. The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, responds to repair requests, and assists with preventative maintenance programs across all agency properties. All New Horizons’ Staff are expected to study, practice and operate within the New Horizons’ Philosophy of Keeping Kids First. Keeping Kids First requires that every decision and action be motivated by and geared toward meeting the highest need of the individual kid New Horizons will not tolerate anyone who is not committed to keeping kids safe from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

Work is performed in various indoor and outdoor environments, including residential, administrative, and recreational settings. May be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and occasional hazards related to maintenance activities. May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to respond to facility needs or emergencies.

Each year, we help over 1,200 children and their families move past their emotional trauma and crisis to become balanced and transformed individuals. We have two residential treatment centers for children, foster care services, adoption services, and we provide in-home youth and family counseling.
