Job Description

Do you have a knack for fixing things and are looking for a job at a fantastic slope side hotel? Our team is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join us. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken English skills and experience with various technologies, such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and 2-way radio systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and general construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and flooring knowledge. Having previously worked in a full-service hotel or resort setting, knowing pool and hot tub maintenance is highly desirable. Compensation Information: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Physical Requirement:Heavy, work activities involve handling loads of more than 20 kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Authorization to work within Canada
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • High level of experience with technology
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • WHMIS certification preferred
  • Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training considered are assets

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of facilities
  • Always adhere to safety standards and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members to address operational needs
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with the public
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the 4–10-hour shift pattern
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with three days off every week, including long weekends
  • Take advantage of recreational activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, golfing, and more during downtime
  • Commit to full-time, year-round permanent employment
