Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician role in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
· Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
· Diagnose and repair electrical issues including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
· Install, test, and maintain electrical components and automation systems.
· Support mechanical maintenance tasks as needed, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and general equipment repair.
· Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
· Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
· Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement solutions.
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation.
· Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new system installations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
· 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Experience working with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming a plus).
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
· Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (120V–480V).
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
