Facilities Maintenance Technician

Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

  • Responsible for facility maintenance, modifications and repair of chillers, electrical, plumbing, steam systems and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain a working understanding of equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively, under general direction
  • Interact with, monitor and assist outside contractors and vendors in conjunction with their projects
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Recommend and implement methods to increase the reliability of systems
  • Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices
  • Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested by supervisor or management

Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline preferred, or appropriate trade certification and at least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or machine repair
  • Must be able to work days, weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to coordinate a number of diverse responsibilities
