- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to machinery to locate cause of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using appropriate tools.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Starts devices after repair to ensure that the machine is operating correctly.
- Completes preventive maintenance on all machines according to the PM Schedule.'
- Uses all of their resources to find the parts needed for repairs and passes this information on to the purchasing person

Qualifications
- 3 years experience repairing and servicing a variety of machinery
- Proven self-direction, must be able to work individually or in a team to complete equipment repairs.
- An effective listener
- Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Demonstrates initiative
- Effective in stressful situations and a high paced environment
- Must follow all IFG Safety policies and procedures
- Must understand and follow the IFG Work Order Procedure
- Must have understanding and be able to work in Microsoft Word and Excel systems
