What you bring to SBHG (qualifications)
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification courses or equivalent in vocational training or apprenticeship in construction/maintenance trade(s) preferred.
One (1) year building maintenance experience required.
Valid California Driver’s License, required.
Valid California Class “B” Driver’s License, preferred
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks to assist the Environmental Services Supervisor in maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment and grounds. Performs preventive maintenance and emergency repair to facility buildings, equipment, grounds and vehicles, including utilities plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electric, refrigeration and heating and air conditioning. Receives deliveries and delivers materials and supplies to appropriate departments. Performs miscellaneous sanitation duties such as sweeping and cleaning the surrounding sidewalks and garage area and emptying and cleaning trash containers. Manually lifts and moves furniture and equipment. Available for on-call emergency repair situations. Maintains various department logs in writing.

Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide
Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988
Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility and Non-Public High School – 24/7 locked facility
Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health
Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program
