The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving process and packaging equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on electrical troubleshooting capability, including both DC systems and AC power systems up to 480V 3-phase
Technicians are expected to operate with minimal supervision, prioritize uptime, and execute work safely while supporting continuous improvement and operational reliability.
7 day rotation Mids/Aft/Days
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues on process and packaging equipment.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on AC/DC systems, including:
24VDC control circuits
Sensors, relays, and motor controls
VFDs, starters, and power distribution
480V 3-phase systems (safe troubleshooting and verification)
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
Execute Preventive (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) activities with high precision and ownership.
Support equipment startups, and operational troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Partner with Operations to stabilize equipment and train operators in basic autonomous maintenance tasks.
Identify root causes of failures and participate in breakdown analysis (BDA) and continuous improvement efforts.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed using CMMS ( SAP Plant Maintenance or equivalent).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Mechanical systems (drives, conveyors, bearings, alignment, etc.)
Pneumatics and basic hydraulics
Electrical systems (AC/DC troubleshooting up to 480V)
PLC troubleshooting (I/O level, fault identification, basic logic understanding)
Instrumentation and sensors
Basic machining and fabrication (preferred)
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Proven experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of electrical systems including 24VDC controls and 480VAC 3-phase power
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as a team
Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
Technical certifications (electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation)
Experience with PLC systems and industrial automation
Experience with high-speed packaging equipment
Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Compliance with confined space, electrical safety, and GMP standards
Commitment to safe work practices in all tasks
Strong troubleshooting mindset with urgency around uptime
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication across operators, peers, and leadership
