The Industrial Technician II supports maintenance operations within assigned processing facilities. This role applies solid technical knowledge to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment while following established procedures and safety standards. The technician works independently on routine tasks and collaborates with senior technicians and leadership on more complex issues.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform routine and intermediate troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery and systems
  • Support daily maintenance operations within assigned facility or area
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and minor improvement projects
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues accurately
  • Identify potential equipment issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians or leadership
  • Support root cause investigations for equipment issues as directed
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors under guidance, as needed
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and USDA requirements
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Basic familiarity with automation systems and PLC interfaces (troubleshooting support level)
  • Strong attention to safety and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts

Work Environment:

This position involves hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. The technician will work on production floors, in mechanical areas, and occasionally in office settings. The role may require flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts as needed. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights or in confined spaces, and perform tasks in varying climate conditions.
