Job Description

  • Assist with maintenance work orders as received for various responsibilities throughout the site.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Arrange furniture and operate equipment for special events or office moves.
  • Assisting with set up and tear down of Pilot Plants.
  • Assist skilled tradesman (Electrician, Mechanician, Technician, etc.)
  • Participate in meetings and training to gather information and skills to perform certain functions.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Transport tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Set up with functions around the site, large meetings and social functions.
  • Prepare written materials (e.g., activity logs, truck logbooks, and inspections).
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties on various equipment e.g. (dust collectors, rooftop fans/units, scrubbers, neutralization tank, onsite vehicles, ventilation hoods, etc.)
  • Must use good judgment to identify and resolve problems on the job. When in difficulty refer problems to supervisor for resolution.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for Snow removal and Grounds Keeping.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma A post-secondary education (two-year diploma/degree ) in a Science related program (Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, etc.) is a benefit.
  • 2-years previous experience in a related field would be a strong asset.

    Specific technical skills:
  • Forklift license or previous 2-years’ experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting operational concerns and equipment failures.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others & independently.
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in, or willingness to learn, handling of mobile equipment such as forklift, scissor lift and skid steer.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.

Salary: $25-30 per hour
