We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our R&D team in Nijmegen.

Facility Maintenance Technician at a glance ...
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Ingredients:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure equipment, systems and facilities are functioning properly

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems for the building, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities, such as inspecting equipment and systems, to identify potential issues before they become major problems

  • Collaborate with R&D staff to understand equipment and system requirements and provide technical support as needed

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, such as work orders on maintenance list

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance processes and procedures

  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed to perform maintenance and repairs

  • Issuing work permits

  • Prepare set up for meeting rooms if necessary

  • MBO diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.

  • Experience in Maintaining facilities, experience working in a food manufacturing or similar industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • High sense of safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
