The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibility is to maintain production equipment for manufacturing, as well as to inspect and maintain HVAC systems. In addition, the Maintenance Technician inspects all interior and exterior lighting systems, maintains the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
· Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager with the inspection and maintenance of the HVAC systems.
· Provide regular maintenance for the Kilns, Slipcast and RamPress, as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise.
· Conduct maintenance on the interior and exterior lighting and electrical circuits as necessary.
· Maintain the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities, including the transfer of pumps.
· Assist with carpentry duties to include building a variety of items necessary to ensure a functioning Facilities Department.
· Assist with special events including the Barn Sale and Warehouse Sale including set up and breakdown, as well as assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth event.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and
Experience:
· High School Diploma required
· Vocational or Technical training preferred (HVAC, Construction, Plumbing)
· Five to eight years of experience required in a similar position
· Three to five years of intermediate electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience preferred
Special Requirements:
· Driver’s License
· Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
· High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.
· Exerts in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environmental Conditions:
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including temperature changes, noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, dust, garbage and moving mechanical parts.
Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00/hr
