About the role

In this hands-on maintenance role, you will conduct preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment, ensuring smooth operations within the grading and warehouse areas. You’ll respond to breakdowns and liaise with the team to troubleshoot issues efficiently. Your tasks will include refurbishing parts, cleaning machinery, and maintaining a tidy working environment. You’ll provide regular reports to the Site Manager and actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly production meetings. Additionally, you’ll monitor spare parts and consignment stock levels while adhering to all safety and quality policies. As part of a rotating roster, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and contributing to a positive team dynamic.

What you’ll do

• Conduct preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment
• Maintain and repair plant and equipment within the Grading and Warehouse areas
• Attend to breakdowns and provide liaison with the Team
• Refurbish parts when require.
• Clean machine and associated parts as required
• Provide regular reports to Site Manager
• Actively participate in daily/weekly/monthly production meetings
• Ensures all checks are carried out and all paperwork is filled in correctly
• Monitor spare parts and consignment stock levels
• Maintaining a clean working environment
• Report on any safety issues and hazards identified in the conduct of the assigned tasks
• Work as part of a rotating roster including weekends

About You

• Are you a skilled maintenance technician seeking a new opportunity to make an impact?
• You will come with a Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, along with proven experience in industrial maintenance.
• Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be essential as you conduct preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
• You thrive in a hands-on role and are comfortable working in a team-oriented environment. While experience in a food production setting is a plus, what matters most is your commitment to safety and quality.
• With your own transport and a proactive attitude, you’re ready to tackle challenges and contribute to a dynamic team.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent.
• Proven industrial maintenance experience in a hands-on role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct preventative maintenance on the plant and equipment.
• Familiarity with food production environments (preferred but not essential).
• Effective team player with good communication skills.
• Adaptability to work in various conditions, including wet or dirty environments.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with OH&S policies.
• Own reliable transport
