Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician at Hitachi Energy. is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks to ensure the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity within our manufacturing or operational environments.
Job Responsibilities
* Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
* Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and calibrations to ensure machinery operates within specifications.
* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
* Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent, using computerized maintenance management systems.
* Collaborate with production teams and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize operational disruption.
* Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry).
* Participate in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of new equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly manage tools and spare parts.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including schematics and blueprints.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and in various environmental conditions.
* Valid driver's license may be required.
