RegularThe Maintenance Technician III performs routine and break-down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment and is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules and regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair/upkeep. This position performs repairs as needed by the department, troubleshoots processes, and assists with machine set ups and rebuilds as needed. The Maintenance Technician III position requires leadership skills and upper level technical skills.

For some locations (Little Chute only), this position may manage and administer the preventive maintenance program.

Relocation assistance of $5000 (certain conditions apply)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with crew from previous and current shifts.
  • Work closely with production Supervisors, line leaders and production crews to answer questions and receive as much information as possible to perform the work successfully.
  • Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA; keep all related records and logs accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the packaging/production process as needed.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Effectively update and install equipment.
  • Works closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.
  • Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school coursework/Degree in boiler, welding, electrical, HVAC maintenance preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience Required:

  • · Technician II (Intermediate):
  • o Adds broader troubleshooting, assists with set-ups and rebuilds.
  • o Experience: ≥ 2 years maintenance/repair in manufacturing.
  • o Education: High School Diploma; technical coursework/degree preferred (boiler, welding, electrical, HVAC).
  • · Technician III (Advanced/Lead):
  • o Demonstrates advanced electrical diagnostics (read/understand prints, troubleshoot circuits; experience with 3-phase motors, transformers, control circuits), mentors/train new technicians.
  • o Experience: ≥ 4 years maintenance/electrical in manufacturing, including advanced electrical troubleshooting.
  • o Leadership: Training/mentoring; previous supervisory/lead experience preferred (Little Chute).
  • o Luxemburg: State Master’s or Journeyman license required.

  • Able to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; coach and counsel others; read, understand and explain technical data.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
