Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.

You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. We're looking for a dependable team player who brings a positive attitude, thrives in a hands-on environment, supports others, and takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace. Salary: $32.20 - $37.95 per hour (rate includes 15% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience

New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm - 2:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 4:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, potential Saturday hours

What Success Looks Like:

  • Leads and promotes a culture of safety first.
  • Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Facility and grounds maintenance.
  • Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.

What You Bring:

  • High School education or equivalent required
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience is required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications
  • Experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair
  • Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
