The Maintenance Technician installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the facility. This role works in cooperation with all departments in order to provide excellent customer service and meet customer needs. This position requires regular and recurrent attendance – minimum of 40 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Install and maintain the mechanical systems of the plans and/or repair machines or systems in accordance with engineering and manufacturer specifications. Must be able to maintain equipment in the plant and follow instructions from appropriate manuals.
2. Identify and repair mechanical problems as needed to include replacement and repair of component parts.
3. Make temporary corrective repairs when necessary to offset excessive down time or production delays.
4. Must be able to generate a want/need list to include descriptive identification of material or parts required.
5. Observe and comply with safety precautions using systematic trouble shooting.
6. Repair, maintain and install mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance instructions, blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
7. Must be able to conduct minor electrical trouble shooting and repair, up to and including, 480 volt, 3 phase.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards.
9. Must have regular and recurrent attendance – minimum of 40 hours per week.
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent;
Experience: Six months or more of related work experience. (Additional education may be substituted for experience>) Must be able to read blueprints, possess prior experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC and general maintenance; basic mathematics; able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos; able to understand and carry out verbal instructions; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Manual Dexterity: Work requiring moderate speed and a very high degree of accuracy in operating equipment and machine.
Work requires the ability to walk, sit, stand, use hand and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Physical Effort: Work involves medium to heavy types of physical exertion (i.e., bending, lifting, squatting and twisting) with average weight materials or equipment. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally, up to 100 or more pounds.

- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is periodically exposed to vibration;
- Is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moderate heat and cold;
- Works where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
