Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Technical Manager to join their team. The Maintenance Technical Manager oversees all manufacturing equipment and maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards while managing technical staff, implementing maintenance programs, and liaising with suppliers and contractors. Qualifications include a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, extensive experience in maintenance or engineering management in food manufacturing, and proficiency in PLCs, electrical codes, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of electrical/technical maintenance technicians to ensure peak production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and manufacturers for optimal equipment support.
Design, fabricate, and modify equipment to enhance operational performance.
Create and manage departmental budgets while scheduling projects to meet deadlines.
Maintain a well-stocked inventory to fulfill production needs.
Uphold the highest standards of food safety, quality, and environmental regulations (ISO-14001-2015 and TQM).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
5-10 years of experience managing maintenance and/or engineering in a food manufacturing environment
Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle emergencies
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred: Boiler Certification and experience with Krones equipment
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP and MMS systems.
Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and electrical/mechanical equipment (AC/DC).
Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes.
Ability to read and install complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams.
