2. Position Data:

1. Goal of Position (Why was this Position Created?)

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical and mechanical test systems while supporting production goals related to First Pass Yield, Scrap, and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF). The role requires meticulous testing and inspection of hardware, software, and tooling systems, alongside the maintenance of test equipment through preventive measures and repairs. By actively identifying and documenting improvements, this position contributes to the continuous enhancement of testing processes and supports the seamless integration and qualification of new equipment and processes.

2. Requirements for the Position (e.g, Training, experience, education, etc)

• Associate of Applied Science in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar technical degree, or Military Maintenance Training Certification, or 4+ years of equivalent experience as an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
• Able to solder printed circuit boards and cable connectors
• Proficient in troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic and pneumatic schematics.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without an employment visa or other sponsorship

3. Task (Description of Main Task)
   • Test/Inspection of electrical and mechanical systems hardware, software, and tooling.
   • Maintain test equipment, including repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and spare part replacement identification.
   • Identify, initiate and document improvements to test equipment, programs, and fabrication procedures.
   • Assist other techs in investigating production problems, determining root cause & implementing permanent corrective action.
   • Assist in debug and qualification of test equipment
   • Assist in the periodic relocation and requalification of test equipment.
   • Support efforts to meet line product First Pass Yield, Scrap, and equipment MTBF goals.
   • Assist with installation, debug and qualification of new equipment/processes.
   • Troubleshoot/diagnose difficult, infrequent problems with processes/equipment with minimal direction/documentation.
   • Communicate problems and/or transaction status with appropriate personnel to include other shifts.
   • Other duties as assigned.
   • Must be able to work overtime (including weekends) on an “as needed” basis.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand for periods of up to 12 hours.
• Must have the capability to push, pull, reach, twist, turn, stoop, walk, and stand for extended periods.
