Seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain a commercial retail property in Traverse City. The role involves general upkeep of common areas, grounds keeping, and minor repairs to ensure a safe and functional environment for tenants and visitors.
Responsibilities
:

Grounds keeping
: Mow lawns, maintain landscaping, and perform snow removal (no plowing; shoveling and salting as needed).

Minor Repairs
: Address basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues (e.g., change common area lighting, inspect roof leaks via hatch, apply roofing glue).

General Maintenance
: Clean and maintain three corridors, blow debris off roofs, and change HVAC filters.

Property Walkthroughs
: Inspect parking lots and common areas, coordinating with snow plow contractors to ensure accessibility.

Tenant Support
: Respond to minor maintenance requests in common areas (tenants handle their own unit-specific issues).

Equipment Use
: Operate provided tractors and tools for landscaping and snow removal.
Requirements
:
General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or snow removal.
Ability to work independently with common sense and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license required
