Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance, reporting documentation of the hospital in order to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. There is no remote option for this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in building mechanical equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college education preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow safety directions as required.
  • Painting and minor maintenance work experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Makes minor mechanical, electrical and plumbing and painting repairs as requested
  • Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
  • Conducts scheduled inspections and maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exits, fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment, and life support systems.
  • Maintains all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication, etc.) in a safe operating condition
  • Must be able to work day shift (8:00A – 5:00P), weekends, and on-call, as scheduled.
  • Remains flexible for other duties and special projects assigned

  • The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least 5 hours per day.
