Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Millwright)
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the inspection, operation, or testing of machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Manage small projects, coordinate installations and down day work assignments and carry out initiatives in support of the Mill objectives. Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner. This position will work in 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Working Conditions:
All roles require a person to work in working conditions such as heat, cold, snow, rain, ice, frost, humidity, severe storms and so forth. Special working conditions include regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working as a team regardless of challenge, and so forth. Exposure to noise, dirt, grease, water and sawdust is common. Must be able to work at heights up to 130 ft above ground. Must be able to work for non-extended periods at temperatures of 110 to 120 degrees F.
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform the essential job functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, working at heights up to 30 feet above the ground, lifting up to 50 pounds (from floor to shoulder height), stooping, and bending, carrying up to 50 pounds at least 40 feet.
Work Environment:
The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory. Dependent upon the area you will work in, the environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, wet, and noisy. The position requires you to work a continuous operation, which will include Saturdays and Sundays. The position also requires you to work overtime as needed. Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere.
