The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the execution of Facilities Maintenance work orders as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Program Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
1. Responsible for timely, safe, and proper execution of work orders as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Program Director.
2. Strong and demonstrable knowledge of facility maintenance best practices with up-to-date, applicable education in multiple facets of the position to ensure a safe environment for all staff and clients of the agency.
3. Monitors safety and operating conditions with a deeper understanding of best practices at all agency sites by performing in-depth site inspections and reporting findings back to department leadership.
4. Maintains effective record keeping of maintenance performed utilizing department tools such as Excel spreadsheets, facility auditing software, and Google sheets.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center.
1. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

QualificationsCOMPETENCIES
1. Advanced knowledge in remodeling/repair/tool/and equipment usage.
2. Advanced ability in the area of effective communication, documentation, interpersonal skills, and decision making.
3. Ability to teach and serve as an example for Maintenance Technician 1s for future growth and development.
3.  Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
4. In-depth understanding of safe work practices at all times including daily completion of safety reviews and job hazard analysis forms with ability to both perform duties accordingly and assist Maintenance Technician 1 team members with questions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Prior experience performing maintenance/remodeling projects.
3. Maintains applicable agency trainings.
4. Previous experience with various hand tools preferred.
5. Lifting up to 50lbs required.
