Job Title:

Maintenance Tech - Facilities ServicesThe Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on commercial, industrial, and healthcare facility systems.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year maintenance or construction work experience, or completion of HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, or Electrical vocational/technical program above high school level

Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:

Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational or technical certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of commercial and industrial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and utility systems. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and respond effectively during emergency situations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to learn new systems, technologies, and maintenance disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance activities on facility systems and equipment.
  • Supports the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and utility systems.
  • Diagnoses equipment failures and performs corrective repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Identifies and conducts preventive maintenance inspections and completes scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Assists with facility infrastructure projects, preventive maintenance initiatives, renovations, equipment repairs, and installations.
  • Maintains accurate work order documentation and maintenance records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Supports emergency response activities involving facility systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Coordinates with contractors, vendors, clinical departments, and facility personnel to support operational needs.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
