Looking for a full-time opportunity to build hands-on maintenance skills in an industrial setting? Interstate Warehousing is hiring a Maintenance Technician at IWI Newport News.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and helping keep a facility running safely and efficiently. Previous maintenance experience is not required. We offer on-site training for the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist with daily maintenance needs throughout the facility and help install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, building systems, and physical structures. Responsibilities include:
Completing general facility upkeep, including pressure washing, painting, sanitation, and related tasks
Working safely and reporting unsafe acts or conditions
Repairing plumbing issues, including pressure regulators and valves
Assisting with the maintenance and repair of concrete flooring
Troubleshooting and repairing electric forklifts, including motors, drive units, and hydraulic cylinders
Changing and troubleshooting electrical contacts when necessary
Maintaining building equipment and reporting service needs as required
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment such as freezer doors, forklifts, and other facility systems
Reporting food safety and quality concerns to a supervisor
Supporting a safe, dependable, and well-maintained work environment
Completing other duties as assigned
