Maintenance Tech I - 2nd Shift

The maintenance technician I is responsible for repairing various types of manufacturing equipment, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, and communicating with machine operators when equipment is not functioning properly. The maintenance position requires a highly independent, and responsible individual.

Status: Hourly Nonexempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required)

Hours: 40-45 hrs Schedule: M-F

Reports to: KEY Engineering Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work to standard: Perform work to standards for safety, quality, and time while identifying abnormalities.
• Solve problems: Support the team in solving problems for customers and improving processes. Create and improve PM’s
• Major machine repairs: Diagnose machine abnormalities. Help solve design and manufacturing problems. Ensure Machines are repaired and running properly in a timely fashion.
• Oversee outside contractors: Ability to recognize when outside contractors are needed.
• Facility Maintenance, including snow removal
• Other duties as needed Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and may include potential transfers to other departments and local facilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing setting. May be subject to the current local weather conditions.
