Job Summary:

This role is ideal for individuals with little to no experience in the maintenance field who are eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment. The Maintenance Technician will assist in the routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Perform minor repairs on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units under supervision.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and report more complex problems to senior technicians.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Help maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Participate in training programs and gain knowledge in various maintenance systems and practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Strong interest in learning maintenance procedures and systems.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.

Preferred Skills (but not required):

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or similar hands-on role (internships, part-time jobs, etc.).
