Job Description

THE ROLE:

The 2nd shift Maintenance Support Coordinator will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in here Winston-Salem, NC. Will be responsible for dispatching maintenance personnel where needed, work with operation to prioritize calls, compile CMMS data to identify main equipment issues, and update department records. The Coordinator will assist the Maintenance Planner in administering the maintenance department’s daily, weekly, monthly work plan (corrective and preventive) and schedule, coordinate, and communicate the plan with manufacturing and maintenance team to ensure on time and efficient execution of plan. This position will assist the Maintenance Planner in maintaining the CMMS, verify spare parts, and ensure equipment files are kept up to date and in order. This position will require overtime and weekend work as necessary.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Advise departments to coordinate any planned shutdowns, maintenance, or service activities that could have an impact on their schedule and keep them informed during emergency or unexpected downtime events.
  • Ensure completed schedules are returned promptly and that work orders are filled out completely by craftspersons, maintenance lead mechanics, and authorized contractor representatives.
  • Effectively communicate and maintain a good rapport with all maintenance personnel.
  • Effectively balance multiple two-way radio traffic in the form of taking information quickly and accurately, and dispatching technicians in an effective manner to maximize workforce usage.
  • Update preventive maintenance schedule and work order content and frequencies.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement teams to present CMMS data identifying repeat issues.
  • Work with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and Parts Coordinator to ensure all records are filed, parts for PMs and WOs are staged & kitted.
  • Input and Update Preventative Maintenance as needed.
  • Use computer to work on multiple applications; including, CMMS, Word, Excel, Outlook, Oracle to support maintenance department.
  • Develop and improve maintenance department work flow.
  • May perform/assist in other related activities or duties as required and/or assigned.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Skills

  • Understand basic operation and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices/precautions
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Oracle programs
  • Read technical manuals and Input the recommended OEM preventative maintenance schedule into the CMMS system.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of assigned responsibilities.
  • Good typing, data entry, computer, two-way radio and/or phone/communication skills
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team member and interact positively with all staff, clients and outside parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Calm, flexible and efficient when dealing with multiple priorities, people and tasks
  • Uses initiative and exercises sound independent judgment
  • Must have the ability to deal with all levels of management

Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, setup/change over or dispatching role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a strong technical background

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience in a Maintenance Manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with cGMP’s, SOP’s requirements from a regulated working environment
  • Experience in, Nutraceuticals, Food/Beverage or Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
  • Vocational certifications or Associates degree
  • Previous CMMS experience
