The Maintenance Supply Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Maintenance Supply Room. This position works to maintain inventory levels, achieve costing goals, and uphold quality through analytics and industry best practices. The Supervisor provides front-line leadership to the employees working in the Supply Room. Using a “One Team, One Mission” approach, this position will be a resource for all maintenance personnel to provide service and convenience in a demanding environment.

Essential Functions:

Provides effective leadership to employees of the supply room.Providing training to the supply room staff, team coaching, resolving issues and complaints, and providing discipline when necessary. While maintaining an atmosphere conducive to success through regular communication and shift meetings. Communicating team goals and results to reinforce positive work

Communicates effectively with Peers and departmental employees (Accounting, Purchasing, Maintenance).Providing prompt response to questions and working seamlessly to resolve supply chain issues. Work with others and vendors to manage the ever-changing supply chain. Working to develop and maintain stockroom procedures and policies.

Provides effective organization of the Maintenance Supply. Using industry best practices to make sure the right parts are in the supply room at the right time. Ensuring enough parts are on hand when needed. Meeting industry standard KPIs for costing and turnover of inventory. Adjusting supply to meet needs and purchasing environment. Maintain tracking and reporting of all metrics established.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management (or closely related field) OR an Associate Degree and two-years of supply chain or maintenance experience OR five plus years of supply chain or maintenance experience without education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory or Leadership Experience
  • Competent in SAP or equivalent software
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Effective time management skills
  • Competent in analytical tools

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will be responsible for supervising a supply room clerk(s) on all three shifts.

Work Environment: Primarily office environment, with requirement to work in wide variations in environment temperature (-40-degree Freezers, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree production area, wet cold environment); noise, slippery floors and moving equipment in operations setting.

Physical Demands: Position will include standing, sitting, lifting, climbing ladders, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, visual, responding quickly to sounds and driving.

Position Type: This is an exempt role; may be asked to change schedule and work ‘off’-shifts.

Travel: Travel is not required.
