Preferred Nationality: Indian/Iranian
Job Purpose
Lead the maintenance function for high-speed thermoforming/Form-Fill-Seal water cup production lines. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop maintenance plans, manage the technical team, respond hands-on to major breakdowns, improve machine reliability, and ensure critical spare parts are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, preventive, and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Assign maintenance activities and supervise their safe, timely completion.
- Lead troubleshooting during major breakdowns and recurring machine failures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and machine interventions with production.
- Prepare maintenance checklists, SOPs, equipment histories, and technical reports.
- Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs, overhauls, or replacements.
- Develop critical spare-parts lists for the complete production line.
- Forecast spare-parts requirements and establish minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Monitor spare-parts consumption, failure frequency, and component service life.
- Prepare accurate technical specifications for purchasing spare parts and services.
- Evaluate the technical suitability of proposed replacement components.
- Train senior technicians, mechanical technicians, and selected production employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food-hygiene, and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and tool control during maintenance activities.
Requirements
Required Technical Experience
Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience maintaining thermoforming/FFS machines that form, fill, and seal water cups, including:
- Plastic-film feeding, tracking, and tension control
- Heating and thermoforming stations
- Forming molds, vacuum systems, and cooling arrangements
- Water-filling mechanisms, nozzles, pumps, and volume adjustment
- Lid-film feeding and alignment systems
- Heat-sealing temperature, pressure, and timing control
- Cutting, punching, and cup-discharge systems
- Pneumatic cylinders, valves, regulators, and air preparation
- Bearings, chains, sprockets, timing belts, shafts, and gearboxes
- Linear guides, conveyors, lubrication systems, and machine alignment
- Mechanical synchronization of high-speed production equipment
Experience with Thermonox, Beta-Pak, or technically similar high-speed machines is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis ability.
- Ability to prepare preventive maintenance plans, SOPs, checklists, and reports.
- Working knowledge of maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and spare-parts control.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, parts diagrams, and specifications.
- Willingness to work hands-on and respond to breakdowns outside normal hours when required.
Critical Selection Requirement
General maintenance experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates whose experience is limited to bottled-water filling lines, RO plants, automotive maintenance, building maintenance, utilities, or unrelated factory equipment will not qualify unless they also have substantial direct experience with thermoform/FFS water cup production machines.
