An exciting opportunity exists for a reliable, safety conscious, experienced Quarry Maintenance Supervisor to become part of the Hallett Group team!

We are seeking a highly motivated professional maintenance supervisor for Fixed Plant & Mobile Crushing Equipment Maintenance who has attention for detail, a willingness and ability to fulfil a broad range of operational requirements based at our Mclaren Vale Quarry location but may occasionally be required to work at other quarry sites in the business which may mean occasional short stays away from home.

To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate:

• Maintain, implement and monitor safety systems, maintenance systems associated with Mclaren vale quarries -this also includes fixed & mobile crushing and screening equipment, mobile plant and site infrastructure
• Plan & schedule maintenance activities of employees and maintenance contractors
• Provide leadership guidance to site maintenance team
• Ensure maintenance planning aligns with monthly production planning
• Lead continual maintenance / safety improvements on Fixed & Mobile crushing plant
• Identifying and reporting hazards
• Managing and monitoring contractors’ safety management and issuing high risk permits where required
• Previous experience in Crushing & screening repairs and process inspections
• Assist the quarry management team with weekly maintenance planning & projects
• Hands on Fault finding and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
• Conduct safety toolboxes with fixed plant & mobile crushing maintenance personnel
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments on equipment

Relevant skills/qualification required:

• Diploma or Degree in mechanical engineering Preferred
• Trade qualifications required
• Proven experience in a quarrying maintenance supervisor role or similar highly regarded
• Excellent communication and planning skills
• Previous experience in preventative maintenance management systems
• Proven previous cost control skills
• Strong W H & S focus
• EWP and confined space ticket highly regarded
