SUMMA RY
Directs and supervises mechanical work force composed of company and contract emplo yees in all
routine maintenance and pre venti ve maintenance projects in the plant facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but a re not limited to, the following:
• Support and dri ve accident pre vention and environmental excellence.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Pro-acti vely co-manages the operations maintenance controllable budget.
• Promote quality job execution and scheduling adherence.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equipment: repai r, technical specifications, job safety/environmental requirements, and Execution work flow process.
• Ensure Work Order technical information is complete for work execution.
• Create or edit Task lists when applicable for repetiti ve work.
• Identify Bill of Materials updates and corrections to Planne r
• Verify that all operations that were completed ha ve been correctly confirmed and identified as complete in SA P
• Provide feedback to planner of any information that was not correctly identified in the job plan.
• Work with OMC and Planner to remo ve any backlog work that needs to be canceled and remo ved from backlog.
• Recei ve prioritized schedule back from Planne r
• Provide accurate work center capacities.
• Participate in schedule review with OMC, and Planner for final input of revisions for next week’s schedule.
• Confirm finalized schedule for next week.
• All changes after final schedule will be handled as break-ins.
• Assign planned work orders/packages to maintenance crafts.
• Assign emergency/break-in work to maintenance crafts.
• Determine scope changes to all work and communicate to OMC and Planne r
• Verify kitted materials are used or returned to Warehouse.
• Review Orders to ensure all proper documentation and history has been filled out.
• Ensure all operations ha ve been completed and confirmed.
• Technically complete Work Orders after all time has been charged and information has been confirmed in SA P
• Follow and support Work Management Process.
• Field o versite of Contractors executing routine Maintenance o verload work.
• Support Turnaround Work Process Planning and Execution.
EDUC ATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFIC ATIONS
• Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work.
• A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.
• Technical experience de veloped through maintenance career path with ten to fifteen years' experience.
• Preferably fi ve years of progressi ve supervisory experience.
• Previous experience in petrochemicals plant operations.
• Knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling requirements for petrochemical equipment.
• Experience with, word processing, spreadsheets, SA P
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical and control processes and technolog y
• E valuate equipment performance and identify bad actors.
• Able to de velop, lead and support a team of craft persons.
• Ensure crafts respond and perform to company requirements of incident free, accident free safe work place.
• Communicate effecti vely with Production, Maintenance/Scheduling and Engineering department, managers, supervisors and crafts persons.
• Work on own initiati ve and constantly seek to impro ve techniques.
• Lead effecti ve maintenance team and effecti ve conflict resolution skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the emplo yee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hea r The emplo yee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The emplo yee must regularly lift and/or mo ve up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or mo ve up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or mo ve up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise le vel in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and ele vators. Tra vel including air tra vel or auto tra vel may occasionally be required.
