Job Description

Location: Downey, CA
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr. DOE

Beach Front Property Management is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for a well-maintained conventional apartment community located in the Downey, CA area.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable maintenance professional who takes pride in maintaining high community standards and leading day-to-day maintenance operations.

Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations for a 100+ unit apartment community
  • Complete and manage resident service requests in a timely manner
  • Lead unit turns and make-ready process for vacant apartments
  • Supervise vendors and contractors to ensure quality work
  • Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
  • Maintain pool areas, grounds, landscaping, and common areas in a clean and organized condition at all times
  • Ensure strong curb appeal and community presentation standards are consistently maintained
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance issues
  • Maintain inventory, supplies, and maintenance budgets
  • Ensure OSHA and safety compliance standards are met
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response as needed

Requirements

  • Previous apartment maintenance supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools, and general maintenance
  • EPA Certification required (Type I & II or Universal preferred)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must provide own basic hand tools

Compensation & Benefits:
