Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor leads the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our 45-unit lodge and cabin property in beautiful Lake Louise.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is practical, organized, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. You'll complete maintenance and landscaping tasks while coordinating daily priorities, supporting the maintenance team, and ensuring the property remains safe, welcoming, and well maintained.
Your work plays an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll:
• Lead the daily maintenance and landscaping activities across the property
• Complete general maintenance and minor repairs in guest rooms, cabins, and public areas
• Maintain our grounds, including lawn care, watering, flowers, and landscaping
• Troubleshoot minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues
• Identify larger maintenance concerns and coordinate external contractors when required
• Plan and complete preventative maintenance programs
• Prioritize and respond to maintenance requests affecting guest comfort and safety
• Support, coach, and work alongside the maintenance team
• Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools, ensuring they are well maintained and organized
• Promote safe work practices and ensure safety procedures are followed
• Work closely with the Lodge Manager to plan maintenance priorities and property improvements

What This Job Isn't
This is not a desk-based position or a specialized trades role.
You'll spend much of your day working outdoors and alongside the team. Lake Louise is a small mountain community with limited services, and Banff is approximately a 45-minute drive or bus ride away.

What We're Looking For
• Previous maintenance or property maintenance experience
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a team
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general building maintenance
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work and respond to changing operational needs
• Comfortable working independently while supporting a small team
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Available to work weekends and holidays as required
• Guest-focused with a commitment to maintaining high property standards
• Someone who enjoys working outdoors
