
Accountable for the daily management and coordination of NYPA’s overall operations, including Overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the operational performance; directing the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources; analyzing and approving operational investments that best meet the organization's business needs.
Ensures the day-to-day reliability and performance of the equipment associated with plant and facility operations. Repairs, adjusts, and maintains production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications. Includes jobs that provide general or specialized maintenance, including electricians, mechanics, technicians, and linepersons.
Responsible for supervising vendors, contractors, and other NYPA employees for functions surrounding the operations and maintenance of NYPA’s downstate NY (Southeast New York - SENY) transmission facilities. Collaborate to ensure day-to-day reliability of equipment. The supervisory role will entail overseeing personnel who carryout specialized maintenance on Protection and Controls, Power Apparatus, and various electrical-mechanical assets found within a transmission facility. The incumbent will work with SENY’s Transmission planner, asset management, and engineering teams to safely and effectively carryout corrective and preventative maintenance to comply with applicable NYPA specifications and other regulatory standards.
