Maintenance Supervisor | Kangaroo Island, SA

About the Role

Southern Ocean Lodge is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep and presentation of one of Australia's most celebrated luxury lodges. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance team, ensuring the lodge, guest suites, and surrounding grounds are maintained to the highest standard, while supporting a seamless guest experience.

You will manage day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, and act as a key point of contact for contractors and suppliers. Working closely with the Lodge Manager and department heads, you will help ensure the property's facilities, systems, and equipment are always guest-ready.

This is a residential role based on Kangaroo Island, with accommodation and meals provided.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising the Maintenance team
• Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance across the lodge and grounds
• Managing maintenance schedules, budgets, and supplier relationships
• Ensuring guest suites and public areas are maintained to a luxury standard
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests, including after-hours as required
• Coordinating with contractors for specialist works
• Maintaining compliance with WHS and lodge safety policies
• Managing stock levels of maintenance supplies and equipment

About You

You are a passionate and experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping a property running smoothly and looking its best.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or senior maintenance role, ideally in luxury hospitality
• Trade qualifications relevant to property maintenance
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills
• A current driver's licence
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and occasional after-hours callouts
• Current Australian working rights
