Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor

Under the responsibility of the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all maintenance activities within the company. You will lead the maintenance team and ensure that the company's equipment and facilities are kept in optimal working order. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, while ensuring that safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment life.
  • Diagnose complex failures and participate in their resolution in the field.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for maintenance.
  • Supervise, manage, and accompany the maintenance team during major repairs.
  • Ensure equipment availability and reliability by planning and executing maintenance activities on time.
  • Identify the required needs for parts and supplies for your department and proceed with purchases.
  • Collaborate with the production planner and supervisors to plan for production shutdowns and minimize disruptions caused by maintenance.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of new technologies and maintenance methodologies to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs made, parts replaced, and hours of work.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong focus on safety.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience.
  • College degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical or related field.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with programmable logic controllers and various control systems.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
