As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise the maintenance team for Maui Kaanapali Villas and Whaler on Kaanapali and oversee the maintenance department. Perform all maintenance requirements including but not limited to hiring, planning, scheduling, estimating, assigning, coordinating and supervising all work including contracted labor

  • As a Maintenance Supervisor a typical day will include:
    • Assign all unit work orders to maintenance staff. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing/repairing plumbing, electrical, air conditioning and carpentry.
    • Audit repairs/maintenance tasks performed by maintenance team ensuring satisfactory and timely completion of all work orders. Report findings to individual owners, hotel operations, AOAO and outside contractors as necessary. Able to work on property and company run computers and programs.
    • Ensure that all units and company property are maintained and in proper operating condition. Ensure that inventories are accurate and kept current.
    • Communicate with owners regarding repairs requiring expense approval. Consult with Chief Engineer and Owner Services regarding necessary outside professional services; work with Chief Engineer to contract services.
    • Responsible for managing cleanliness, orderliness, safety and functionality of maintenance shops. Orders supplies as needed. Safeguards all employees, supplies, equipment and tools.
    • Assist Chief Engineer for maintenance employee hiring, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and/or corrective actions.
    • Manage Preventive Maintenance Program. Ensure to record all Preventive Maintenance Inspections and Communicate completions to owners.
    • Perform all assigned duties as requested.

To Become a Guest Service Agent at AAH:

  • High School degree/diploma. Two years of college or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, architectural engineering or plumbing preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools. Previous property maintenance and supervisory experience preferred. Must be familiar with blueprints and schematics.
  • Lift/carry over 50 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Walk extended distances.
  • Reach hands and arms in any direction.
  • Kneel and/or stoop repeatedly.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English language including technical terms associated with the job.
  • Valid driver’s license and clear traffic abstract required.
  • Position may require background check and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
