Job Shift: DayThe Manufacturing  Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and working alongside the maintenance team to support daily operations within a fast-paced metal fabrication and manufacturing environment. This role is highly hands-on and focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining welding equipment, fabrication machinery, facility systems, and production support equipment while supervising daily maintenance activities.
The Working Maintenance Supervisor coordinates maintenance priorities, supports production uptime, assists with preventive maintenance programs, and helps ensure a safe and efficient operation. This position serves as the primary day-to-day maintenance lead on the production floor and works closely with Production Supervisors and the Plant Manager.
The hiring range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Results
hands-on maintenance & Troubleshooting  20%
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fabrication and production equipment including welders, CNC and fabrication equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors and material handling equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
- Support preventive maintenance activities on production and facility equipment.
- Diagnose recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
team leadership and daily coordination  20%
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians.
- Prioritize and assign maintenance work orders based on production needs.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members on equipment, safety, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently and with high quality.
- Communicate equipment status and repair timelines with production leadership.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and professionalism within the maintenance team.
preventative maintenance & work scheduling 20%
- Help maintain and improve preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment and facility systems.
- Coordinate maintenance work to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime.

- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company safety policies.
- Identify and correct unsafe equipment or facility conditions immediately.
- Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe machine servicing practices.
- Maintain organized and safe maintenance work areas.
- Assist with facility inspections and safety initiatives.

- Assist with maintaining maintenance parts inventory and shop supplies.

QualificationsRequirements
- Relevant experience in a maintenance lead role for a comparable facility or industry
- Proven ability to provide training, mentoring, accountability and motivation to individuals on their team
- Broad knowledge of commercial electrical systems, including 480V, HVAC, plumbing and equipment
- Capable of working at elevated heights with proper safety equipment
- Proven ability to manage maintenance workloads, scheduling and quality
- Strong communication skills to provide good internal customer service and interact with outside contractors
- Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and safety within their department
