Job

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising the work of 1 to 7 Maintenance Technicians. Delegating work orders and preventive maintenance orders to the Maintenance Technicians.Expectedhoursofwork40hoursaweekwithpossibilityofovertime,variableshifts.Travel for training or other plant observations when necessary.

DutiesandResponsibilities:

• DirectSupervisionofMaintenancePersonnel.

• AssistinTrainingandDevelopmentofMaintenancePersonnel.

• Directandcoordinateactivitiesassociatedwithmaintenancedepartment.

• Conductdailypre-shiftmeetings.

• DelegateworkorderstoMaintenancePersonnelandProductionCo-Workersasneeded.

• Scheduleanddelegatepreventivemaintenancetaskforallplantequipment.

• Supervisorplantsafetyrulesandregulations-especiallylockout/tagout

• WorkwithCarlisleEngineeringtotroubleshootissues,equipmentupgradesandnewinstallations.

• ConductMaintenanceTechniciansreviews(30-60-90,midyear,annual).

• Documentationofincident,disciplinaryaction,accidentinjuryreportsandotherrelatedemployee issues when needed.

• ParticipateinCOSactivitieswhichinclude,SQDCboardwalks,5S,andKaizenevents.

• Advancedunderstandingofmaintenancedepartmentandjobrequirements.

• Up-Keepoftheentireplantinsideandout.

• Anyotherdutiesassignedbymanagement.

RequiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Previousexperienceinthefollowingmaintenanceareas:GeneralBuildingElectrical,Industrial PLC Electrical Training, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Boilers.

• Knowledgeofmeasuringgaugessuchastapemeasuresandcalipers.

• Priorexperienceoperatingaforkliftandscissorlift.

• Basiccomputerskills(email,MicrosoftOfficeSuite,SAP,LadderLogic,etc.).

• Effectivecommunicationandproblem-solvingskills.

• Priorexperiencereadingblueprints,equipmentmanualsandschematics,andpreventive maintenance and work order schedules.

• Understandingofbasicmathandwritingskills.

• Haveboileroperatorcertificationorabilitytoobtainboilercertification.

• WorkingknowledgeofelectricalcodesincludingNEMA,etc.(NFPA70E,ArcFlash)

• IndustrialelectricalAC/DCtroubleshootingskills,includingabilitytoutilizeelectrical instrumentation (megohmmeter).

• Completeknowledgeofallplantequipment(levelIII).

• Abilitytousehand&portabletools,gasandarcwelder,forklift,pickuptruck,testingequipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).
• Abilitytoworkunderpressuretocompleteassignedtasksunderstressfulsituations.

EducationandExperience:

• Required:

• Education–HighSchooldiplomaorGEDrequiredortechnicalschool.

• Threetofive(3-5)yearsrelatedmaintenanceexperience.

• TwotoThree(2-3)yearsofPriorLeadershiporSupervisoryexperience.

• Previousexperienceinthefollowingmaintenanceareaspreferred:electrical,plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler.

• Mechanicalbackgroundwithrotatingequipment.Hydraulicandpneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.

• PLCKnowledge.

WorkingConditions:

• Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperaturesanddust;workingwithmechanicalpartsandpinchpoints;exposuretoincreased noise levels.

• Exposuretohazardousmechanical,electricalandchemicalsubstances/equipment.

• Confinedworkspaces.
