The Maintenance, Reverse Osmosis, and Operations Manager is tasked with leading and optimizing maintenance activities, managing reverse osmosis systems, and overseeing comprehensive plant operations. This role requires strategic planning, effective problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency. The manager will ensure robust inventory management, employee training, and adherence to safety and compliance standards, while fostering communication across departments and with key stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage reverse osmosis systems, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering on system upgrades and efficiency improvements.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities at the facility or within the ‘Mobile’ fleet
  • While in an environment of conflicting and rapidly changing priorities, proactively lead and direct all team members towards the achievement of safety objectives, business goals, and continuous improvements to meet the business needs of the plant
  • Manage performance by delivering daily results in support of Safety, Health, & Environmental compliance, fixed cost compliance, and unit profitability
  • Manage efficient utilization of all resources within the Team to best support the Business
  • Lead and ensure the career development of key personnel at all levels for the purposes of succession planning
  • Ability to act as a resource for training or maintenance operations when needed.
  • Perform building and ground maintenance
  • Partner with engineering on plant projects and field job planning.
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory, including critical spares and membrane stock.
  • Source and procure parts, selecting vendors for field and plant needs.
  • Lead and motivate production team to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Train and certify field employees in maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Lead recruitment, performance reviews, and safety training for maintenance and RO staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety audits, ISO standards, and LOTO procedures.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports on employee time, inventory, and Non-IX units.
  • Maintain TCEQ calibration records and oversee housekeeping inspections.
  • Engage with departments such as Commercial engineering Operation, Tech Service, Sales, and Field Service.
  • Collaboration with Gulf Plants Manager and PDSC Operations Manager on operational issues
  • Coordinate with the Center of Excellence team on Non-IX efficiency and strategic planning.
  • Manage logistics for shipping trailers and containers overseas.

Preferred:

  • Basic leadership traits or skills
  • At least 3 years of install, repair and maintenance work experience
  • Basic electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming & 480V 3-phase electrical repair
  • Experience running Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2” to 8”).
  • Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form and able to read a P&ID.
  • Trade school experience for plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired
  • Positive displacements pump repair experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years of supervisory experience required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment involving chemical handling, or at least 5 years of experience in plumbing, pump or mechanical repair.
  • ERP experience in SAP
  • Extensive experience in maintenance, membrane management and reverse osmosis systems.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in SAP and inventory management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred (if applicable):

  • Associate’s degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines 10 years’ experience in Water treatment and/or resins

Working Conditions

  • Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
  • Ability and willingness to work confined space entry
