Job Description


  1. Assist and coach Team Leaders and Team Members on 5S (sweep,sort,sift,sanitize and sustain) activities in the departments assigned.


  2. Assist in the identification of contamination sources and establish countermeasures to eliminate.


  3. Manage machine classification based on cost deployment and breakdown maps. Lead OEE, MTBF, and MTTR analysis, driving proper measures to reduce and/or eliminate breakdowns and minor stoppages to achieve zero losses.


  4. Lead spare parts management activities, striving for minimal loss due to part availability.


  5. Monitor and drive CILR (cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, re-tightening) ownership as identified on the AM calendar for model machines and expansion areas.


  6. Assist in the reduction of CILR time to improve overall OEE.


  7. Implement the use of visual controls to improve the overall workplace by providing a status at a glance.


  8. Support the cross functional team in the Top 5 problem identification process while utilizing WCM tools to reduce/eliminate variation.


  9. Responsible for attaining daily production output including the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs in the area(s).


  10. Provide all required maintenance support for machinery and process related activities in the production lines.


  11. Ensure the safety and integrity of all involved parties in the work environment.


  12. Facilitate communication between departments, lines, and internal suppliers (external to respective area, internal to plant infrastructure).


  13. Obtain outside resources and information when technical challenges exceed capability of the cross-functional team.


  14. Lead the effort in the definition and catalog of spare parts.


  15. Drive the EWO (emergency work order) process to document all equipment failure issues.


  16. Assist in the updating of job instructions, one point lessons, and pre-flight checklists in the area(s) of responsibility.


  17. Analyze process parameters influencing product variation and assist production teams and engineers in the identification of root cause and coordination of process improvement/saving actions.


  18. Participation in PFMEA (process failure model effects analysis) activities in the area of


Responsibility.


  • Participation in the implementation of the AM (autonomous maintenance), PM (professional maintenance), QC (quality control), FI (focused improvement), and PD (people development) pillar standards using WCM methodology.

  • Assist production teams in tracking KPI’s (key performance indicators) utilizing the systems and tools available.

  • Fill in as Production Business Unit Leader as required.


  • Support all activities required by the Production Business Unit Leader to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost in the area(s) of responsibility.


Requirements


● High School Diploma and GED
● Minimum 3 years of industrial
automation experience

with project management experience.
●
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required

● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
● Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
● Demonstrated troubleshooting problem solving experience
● Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must have a valid driver's license. Available for any shift

Preferred Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering field
● Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
● Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment
● Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training
● Experience with: controls, robotics, drives and system level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding - all types, paint process and associated systems, vision systems and sensors use and application.
● Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
● Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
