Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
This petrochemical industry Maintenance Staff position exists in order to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources to support Operations to manufacture the highest quality products in the most efficient and effective manner, reduce maintenance costs, and increase operating profit. To increase equipment reliability and add value by integrating plant assets, personnel, technology, and energy, working with other maintenance departments and Operations departments, while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health and safety regulatory and Company requirements. Position supports PE3 unit.

II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Optimization: Optimize the reliability, availability, and performance of PE3 equipment through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies. Analyze equipment performance and failure trends, identify root causes, and implement improvements to reduce unplanned downtime, recurring failures, and maintenance costs.
Operations Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide technical maintenance support to Operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient unit operation. Identify and resolve equipment-related issues, support troubleshooting and process improvements, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other maintenance disciplines to improve asset performance and production reliability.
Process Safety, Asset Management & Project Support: Support the safe and effective management of PE3 assets and maintenance-related projects. Participate in Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI), Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR), equipment evaluations, reliability projects, and other initiatives that improve asset utilization, technology integration, and operating performance.
Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with Company policies and applicable environmental, health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate workplace and process hazards, support incident investigations and corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture throughout maintenance and Operations activities.
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
• Education
◦ High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 10 years of direct job-related experience required. Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of direct job-related experience preferred. Associate’s degree with 8 years of direct job-related experience.
• Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
◦ Personal computer and applicable software including the ability to learn new systems that the company introduces.
◦ Good interpersonal and communication skills.
◦ Good business writing ability.
◦ Advanced knowledge of petrochemical instrumentation and control systems, equipment failure analysis, troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, and reliability improvement strategies to ensure safe and reliable PE3 unit operation.
◦ Ability to analyze equipment performance and maintenance data, perform root-cause failure analysis, develop and optimize maintenance strategies.
• Previous Related Experience Required
◦ A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in instrument maintenance or similar field within a petrochemical facility dependent upon education.
