This position is responsible for general maintenance and repair duties for the facilities at the UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location. These duties are vital to the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, visitors and employees. This position is also responsible for assisting with all problems and or emergencies relating to facility issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and 5 years of maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting
Boiler/Heating Plant Operation experience
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains the low pressure condensing boiler heating water system and associated components, including pumps, electronic valves, temperature sensors, controllers, and motors.
Conducts regular building inspections and makes necessary adjustments and repairs; replaces lightbulbs, batteries, and filters; moves furniture and other items as requested. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and activities in accordance with schedules and applicable codes.
Performs a wide variety of tradesman duties, including general flooring and roof repairs, carpentry, painting, and plumbing; coordinates outside tradespeople and arranges pest control services when necessary.
Completes documentation essential for the Engineering & Operations work order system and preventative maintenance program; may drive to and from UAMS work sites. This position is declared essential.
Delivers items and supplies around the Benton/Bryant campus.
Performs other duties as assigned
