SUMMARY:
Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking to hire One (1) A&P Licensed Mechanics Leads the global strategy, business performance, and operational execution of all Line Maintenance Operations for Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) and its associated joint ventures, providing executive oversight and direction across the worldwide network of Maintenance Operation Centers. Ensures optimal deployment of resources to meet airline customer commitments, safety standards, and financial objectives. Accountable for building and sustaining a highly qualified global technical workforce with the knowledge, training, certifications, and licenses required to resolve in-service support needs across a growing portfolio of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems. Also responsible for designing technical service program offerings and negotiating customized technical support agreements that align customer expectations with Panasonic Avionics' commercial, operational, and long-term service capture objectives.

Description
Aircraft Maintenance and IFEC Systems Maintenance ( Lead )
- Lead team, perform and certify line maintenance, including IFE, in an efficient and effective manner during transit checks in accordance with contractual obligations or Panasonic Line Maintenance Procedures (LMP) and report the findings in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintenance tasks include component replacement, adjustments, inspections, functional tests and certificating but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot (within authorization) aircraft systems to identify necessary repairs to restore to full functionality, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable units (LRU).
- Remove and replace LRUs in accordance with all approved applicable reference documentation.
- Perform Cabin Sweeps in accordance with contractual obligations or approved company procedures and report findings.
- Perform Built-in Test (BIT) and manual testing.
- Assist with Software and Media Loading.
- Clean components and equipment racks in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Perform defect rectification on airframe, engine and systems in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure timely escalation and coordination with Supervisor or Manager of any problem occurring in the assigned aircraft area.
- Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
- May be required to work on other aircraft equipment as trained and authorized.
- Communicate and interface with the customer.
- Certify for all work completed under a company issued or airline issued authority in accordance with governing regulations.
- Coordinate between the customer and Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) divisions to monitor system performance against contractual level.
- Actively promote the PAC Safety Management System (SMS) culture.
- Perform and maintain high quality standards to ensure Panasonic and Airline Quality Assurance (QA) processes are followed
Lead
- Mentoring, coaching, allocating & assigning daily schedules and tasks, as needed.
- Lead station operations, optimizing resources utilization and expense.
- Produce the shift roster to meet contractual obligations and operational requirements.
- Ensures staff comply with PAC and customer procedures.
- Ensure resources, including tools and test equipment, are available to maintain customer contractual obligations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Administrative
- Accurate completion of Panasonic and airline required maintenance documentation, including electronic data entry and/or paper based systems within a timely manner to meet QA standards.
- Execute and monitor inventory, cycle counting, packaging and shipping of inventory.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and tool care.
- Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Management.
- Hourly rates range from $50.32 to $56.07 based on years of experience. (These rates depend on applicable licenses and experience.) Starting rates increase with additional years of experience). This is a full time, direct hire position, offering full medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance. Knowledge/ Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to understand wiring diagrams and other technical documentation.
- Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations and data from which answers can be obtained to rectify defects and restore system functionality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and coach subordinates.
- Exhibit supervisory skill and ability to lead staff and coordinate shift activity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, high-pressure environment.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook (MS products).
- Use professional concepts while applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Must have excellent English comprehension. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English easily and accurately.
- Knowledge of different aircraft types with appropriate airframe and engine type ratings.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Secondary/High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Hold appropriate valid aircraft license / Authority required to certify customers different aircraft types/systems at assigned location
- Minimum 6 years Aircraft maintenance experience including 3 years of exercising certification privilege.
- IFE or related aircraft type experience is an advantage
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the legal right to work in assigned country through nationality, visa or work permits.
- Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
- May require both international and domestic travel, up to 25% of time, to other line station locations to provide relief from time to time as required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to meet the requirements of the airport authority for access and vehicle operation on their premises.
- Required to work a rotating shift roster that spans 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
