Job Description

Maintenance Room Technician should be able to upkeep refrigeration, TV & phone functionality, room furnishings and lighting fixtures. Makes needed repairs to maintain the property operation and responds to all guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid guest inconvenience or discomfort. Becomes thoroughly familiar with all phases of operation and maintenance necessary to operate and repair all water heaters, pumps and plumbing.

  • Plumbing: look for drain clogs, leaks.
  • Lighting: ensure lights work and replace bulbs if needed.
  • Thermostat: ensure proper functioning.
  • Appliances: ensure proper functioning.
  • Furniture: look for wear and tear and functionality.
  • Fixtures: look for damage or wear.
  • HVAC filters: replace if needed and basic knowledge of operation.
  • Completion and proof of technical training (QE-Qualified Employee), basic plumbing knowledge, boiler operator license, Level 3 or 4, or equivalent experience, basic electricity.
  • Field experience –2 years, Commercial experience – 1 ½ years. Work experience on low voltage systems. Field experience in repair of kitchen equipment
  • Repair, installation and/or replacement of equipment, appliances and miscellaneous items in all guest rooms and public areas
  • Basic computer literacy with ability to input and gather data.
  • Ability to work in all climates and conditions including confined and dusty areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Communicates effectively with two-way radio.
  • Possess a valid Nevada driver's license.
