Examples of dutiesThis role focuses on maintaining and repairing many building systems to help the Carlisle Readiness Center operate smoothly. The position covers a wide range of tasks that support the facility’s safety, function, and upkeep. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:Painting Work: Prepare surfaces and apply interior and exterior paintPlumbing Tasks: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and related componentsCarpentry Skills: Perform rough and finish carpentry, including room remodeling and repairsElectrical Support: Install, replace, and maintain circuits, lighting, and related systemsHVAC and Systems: Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and automated building systemsFacility Upkeep: Carry out cleaning, grounds keeping, masonry, and other general maintenance

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.
