Job Description

PAYRANGE: $20-$22 Hourly

Responsible for janitorial/maintenance and upkeep of the grounds, buildings, vehicles, swimming pool, sewer plant, and equipment of the camp and conference center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grounds Maintenance:

  • Maintain grounds by mowing, trimming, pruning, ground preparation, fertilizing, spraying, irrigation, seeding and landscaping
  • Maintain lawn equipment and maintenance records
  • Empty trash cans
  • Assist in general maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities
  • Maintain work order requests
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance
  • Assist in the maintenance of the swimming pool and supplies

Building Maintenance:

  • Prepare accommodations for group use
  • Dust down cobwebs, vacuum, sweep and mop floor and bathrooms
  • Disinfect shower, toilet, and sink,
  • Clean windows
  • Restock all paper products
  • Empty all trash and replace the trashcan liner
  • Replace burned-out light bulbs
  • Clean and set up, per the group’s request, all other meeting rooms/buildings as required in support of scheduled programming or rental group use
  • Security check of all buildings on the camp property
  • Assist with the upkeep maintenance and washing of all camp vehicles
  • Clean and service all hand equipment
  • Keep shop neat and orderly at all times
  • Keep all tools in their proper location
  • Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 21 years of age (required)
  • CA driver’s license (required)
  • Experience in janitorial work (1 year preferred)
  • Experience in property maintenance (1 year preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate electric and gas-powered tools

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
  • Relevant janitorial and maintenance equipment
