Job Description

Maintenance & Reliability Leader — Own reliability and asset performance across our SWRO and desalination plants

Seven Seas Water Group is looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Leader to direct maintenance, reliability engineering, and asset management across our water treatment and desalination facilities, with a primary focus on Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) systems. You'll report to the General Manager and regularly report out progress and performance to our Senior Leadership Team, including our CEO. This role is based in Tampa and our HQ, but requires up to 50% travel for multi-site support.

Who we are

Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) delivers more than 20 billion gallons of water a year to industrial, governmental, municipal, and hospitality customers across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. Through our Water-as-a-Service® (WaaS®) model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 200 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don't have to. SSWG is a portfolio company of EQT, a global investment firm with more than three decades of experience building essential infrastructure.

Requirements

What you'll own

You'll champion a zero-incident safety culture, making sure every maintenance activity meets LOTO, confined space, and pressure system requirements, and support Process Safety Management and Management of Change work as it comes up. Alongside our Quality Manager, you'll drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies against an ISO 9000 framework, and keep our equipment documentation, drawings, and maintenance procedures current and accessible.

You'll own the site's reliability and maintenance strategy end to end. That means leading Reliability Centered Maintenance and Risk-Based Inspection programs across our critical SWRO assets, from high-pressure pumps and energy recovery devices to membrane trains and pre-treatment systems, and setting the KPIs, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and corrective-to-preventive ratio, that tell us how we're doing. You'll run root cause analysis and FMEA to stop repeat failures, manage membrane cleaning and replacement programs to keep flux, rejection, and recovery where they need to be, and make sure we stay compliant with our desalination operating permits and discharge limits.

On the systems side, you'll drive full use of IFS as our maintenance and asset management platform, from work order creation through closure, and own our spare parts strategy and inventory optimization, including min/max levels and critical spares availability. You'll use IFS reporting to support budget forecasting and capital planning, and partner with IT, Engineering, and EHS to keep the platform's data and workflows in good shape.

You'll also lead, mentor, and develop our maintenance supervisors, planners and schedulers, reliability engineers, and technicians, whether that reporting is direct or indirect, and help shape opex and capex planning around real cost-reduction opportunities that don't put reliability or safety at risk.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• 8 to 10 years of progressive maintenance and reliability experience in water treatment, desalination, or heavy industrial environments

• Hands-on experience with SWRO or large-scale RO/desalination systems, including high-pressure pump maintenance, membrane management, and pre/post-treatment equipment

• Experience implementing or managing IFS ERP, or an equivalent EAM platform such as SAP PM or Maximo, for work management, asset tracking, and spare parts control

• 3 to 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing multi-discipline maintenance teams

• A professional certification (PE, CRE, CMRP, or equivalent) is a plus, not a requirement

•We're looking for a strong, data-driven leader who can influence and develop a team, translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders, and stay organized under competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Why this role

You'd be the person our General Manager and Senior Leadership Team look to for the reliability and uptime of some of our most critical water infrastructure. If you want a role where your strategy and your team's execution directly move the needle on plant availability and cost, this is that seat.
