The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the compliant, safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing assets at West Singapore. This role drives maintenance and reliability initiatives, asset lifecycle optimization and ownership of Maintenance Management System platform.

As a member of the Plant Engineering team, the Engineer collaborates closely with Production, Quality, EHS, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support operational excellence and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Asset Reliability & Lifecycle Management:

  • Develop and implement asset lifecycle management strategies to improve equipment availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Maintenance Management:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance activities.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with EHS and cGMP requirements.
  • Minimize production disruptions through effective maintenance planning and coordination.

CMMS & Data Analytics:

  • Administer and optimize the Computerize Maintenance Management System – CMMS operation (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and maintenance management.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and support reliability improvement strategies.
  • Support audits, reporting, business intelligence initiatives, and training.

Spare Parts & Materials Management:

  • Manage spare parts inventory and repair materials to ensure availability while controlling cost.
  • Optimize repair turnaround times and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers to ensure critical spares availability.

Compliance & Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support inspections and audits.
  • Maintain documentation and procedures aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead contractors and service providers to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong cross-functional working relationships.

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance or reliability engineering.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in GMP-regulated equipment maintenance and reliability management.
  • Good technical knowledge of system reliability improvement processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other CMMS platforms and Power BI.
  • Experience with maintenance workflow processes, and spare parts optimization.
  • Working knowledge of TPM, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
